My wife and I were sorry to hear of Richard's passing. He was my manager in the brick business for several years and also a good friend and mentor. I am glad to say he remained a friend even after his retirement, always calling, about an Auburn game, brick industry rumor mill (Ha).. or just as a buddy checking up on my family. We will miss him.

I'm very sorry to learn that we've lost richard! We were very good friends and shared many great experiences in high school athletics. Contact was severely reduced thereafter to visits every 3-5 years until I lost contact entirely about 4 years ago. I can’t single out one particular memory with Richard. There were so many. I spent countless weekends tailgating with him in Auburn. Had several golf outings with him. He coordinated a family trip too the Worlds Fair for several of us in Tennessee back in the 80”s. I remember bird hunting with Richard and my Dad on the family property. Most most of all he loved my Momma his Aunt. RIP Richard.
