The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 1 pm to 4 pm at Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Stephen King will officiate a short memorial service during the visitation time. Regina Diane Wood, a beacon of selfless love and thoughtful kindness, passed away on June 14, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on May 11, 1968, Regina's life was a testament to the power of unwavering devotion to family and the joy found in simple acts of care. Regina, known affectionately to those close to her as just that, Regina, spent her years nurturing a home filled with warmth and laughter. She is survived by a family who cherished her deeply: her son, Christopher Arron Adamson and his wife, Temperence, of Auburn, AL; her daughter, Sarah Ann Wood-Adamson and her partner, Shannon Davis, of Dadeville, AL; and her daughter, Cherokee Virginia Autumn Wood of Auburn, AL. Regina's love also lives on through her grandchildren, John Adamson, Jr., Isaiah Adamson, Ainsley Kitchens, Adam Kitchens, Jr., and Shon Ferrel Davis, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and compassion. Her sister, Barbara King, alongside her husband Stephen, remembers Regina as a pillar of strength and comfort within their family. Regina was a guiding light to all her nieces and nephews, always ready with a word of encouragement or a listening ear. Regina was preceded in death by her beloved son, John Ferrel Adamson, who no doubt welcomed his mother with open arms. She was also reunited with her brother, Johnny Wood; her sister, Beverly Wood; her father, Horace Cooper Wood; and her mother, Virginia Wood, who all went before her. Throughout her life, Regina was the embodiment of love in action. Whether it was through her unwavering support of her children's endeavors or the way she could turn a house into a home, her presence was a gift to all who knew her. Her hands, always busy with one project or another, were never too full to help a friend in need or embrace a family member. Regina's career was marked by the same dedication she showed in her personal life. Her colleagues respected her for her reliability and her innate ability to uplift those around her. Regina's retirement years were spent in the joyous company of her grandchildren, each of whom she adored with her whole heart. The world is a little less bright without Regina's radiant smile and gentle spirit. Yet, those who were touched by her know that the love she shared will continue to blossom in the lives of her family and in the countless memories she leaves behind. A private service will be held to honor Regina's life, where her family and close friends will gather to share stories, laughter, and tears, celebrating the extraordinary woman she was. Regina Diane Wood's story is not one of an end but a beautiful legacy that will continue to inspire and guide her loved ones for generations to come.
