    Mr. "Jimmy" James Edward Thweatt

    October 30, 1968 - December 30, 2013

    Funeral service for Mr. James Edward “Jimmy” Thweatt, 45, of Dadeville, will be Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Bro. Chris Tidwell and Bro. James Cullins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dadeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home. Mr. Thweatt passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013 at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born on October 30, 1968 in Alexander City, Alabama to William Thomas Thweatt and Emma Jean Milam Thweatt. He was a member of Dadeville Church of Christ. Jimmy graduated from Dadeville High School class of 1986. He worked at Bill’s Service Station for eight years and was known for his fun loving personality who everyone loved and wanted to be around. Jimmy was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan and lived everyday to the fullest. He is survived by his daughters, Alaina Michele Thweatt, Jasmine Ansley Thweatt, and Carmen Reese all of Dadeville; mother, Emma Jean Milam Thweatt (Redge Brown) of Dadeville; sister, Sheila Holt (Dwain) of Dadeville; brothers, Tommy Thweatt and Kevin Thweatt both of Dadeville; step-sisters, Teresa Droddy (Brandon) of New Site, Tracie Reaves (Wayne) of Jackson's Gap, and Kim Johnston (Wendell) of Alexander City; step-brother, Tim Wayne Brown of New Site; nephew, Dalton Holt; and niece, Emmalee Bruce (Josh). He was preceded in death by his wife, Tina Michele Thweatt; father, William Thomas Thweatt; grandparents, Mary Lou and Arthur Milam, W.N. Thweatt, and Aldean and Fletcher Vines. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to his daughters’ college fund at PNC Bank in Dadeville: Jimmy Thweatt's Daughters College Fund, 242 N Broadnax Street, Dadeville, AL 36853.
