Mr. Marc Mayfield

Funeral Service for Mr. Marc Mayfield, 48, of Lagrange, Georgia, formerly of Dadeville, AL, will be Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Rod Siggers will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dadeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Langley Funeral Home. Mr. Mayfield II passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at his residence. He was born on April 3, 1973, in Dadeville, Alabama to Marcus Lloyd Mayfield Sr and Nancy P. Mayfield. Marc was a graduate of Auburn University where he received two Bachelors of Arts Degrees in Political Science and History, as well as a master’s degree in Political Science. He then attended AUM where he received another master’s degree in Education. Marc loved to cook for his friends, especially at the tailgating parties. He enjoyed attending many sporting events but most of all loved to cheer on his beloved Auburn Tigers. Marc had a special place in his heart for his mother, whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his parents, Marcus Lloyd Mayfield Sr. and Nancy P. Mayfield of Dadeville; aunts, Mary Phillips (James), Anne Pitts; great uncle, Jack Mayfield; great-aunt, Allie Kate Mayfield; cousins, Ann Marie Rowlett (Eric), Brian Todd (Linda), Adam Phillips, Mende Hunter (Brad), Ashley Sanchez (Benny), Jessica Todd, Hannah Rowlett, Matthew Rowlett, Tony Pitts (Cathy), Justin Pitts, Jared Pitts, Scott Pitts; numerous other cousins and his friends of Auburn tailgating. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie Lloyd Mayfield and Gladys Hilyer Mayfield and James Bentley Pitts and Betty McDaniel Pitts.
