I have only just learned of the passing of Barbara and I am so saddened. She was a wonderful submitter and volunteer for Tallapoosa County USGenWeb Archives and over the years has contributed much to our project. Our volunteers submit records at their leisure and under no pressure so it is not unusual that we may not hear of someone's passing. I feel just terrible that we did not know until now and am just so sad that she has passed. She will be remembered by all those who will find help with their genealogy thanks to her wonderful generosity.

I learned tonight (Sunday, February 04) of Barbara's death. Helen Bretz sent me her obituary via email. I was shocked and greatly saddened. All the comments shared on this tribute wall are true--Barbara was a great lady and a mainstay of First Church of Camp Hill, AL. I remember a wonderful visit my husband Jamie and I had with Barbara and B. J. She had invited me to Camp Hill as a Sunday speaker.

Peace to you, her family, and to all who loved Barbara. She is a person who can be remembered well.

Barbara was a charter member of the library book club, and will be sorely missed! She always had great contributions to the discussions, and great suggestions for future books. I want to read something by Jodi Piccoult in her memory, when we choose books again. I was also privileged to see her at the Wellness Center, where she worked out faithfully, doing more than most her age.
She was a very nice lady, and will definitely find her mansion awaiting her in Heaven!

I am so sorry to hear of Barbara's death. She and B J were two of my favorite people. Barbara and I had many years together in the Tallapoosee Historical Society. She was so instrumental in the publication of our Heritage Book and through her efforts we were able to have the book reprinted. How we are going to miss her in our Society. She was a beautiful and accomplished lady!
