Mr. Benjamin "Ben" Franklin Wesson's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Benjamin "Ben" Franklin Wesson, 85, of Jackson's Gap, Alabama, will be Friday, January 28, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Charlie Horton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Jacksons Gap Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Wesson passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Lake Martin Community Hospital. He was born on February 27, 1936 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Raymond Wesson and Rosetta Roberts Wesson. Mr. Wesson was retired from the textile industry after over 30 years. He attended Jacksons Gap Baptist Church. Mr. Wesson enjoyed fishing, playing cards, growing a garden, being outdoors, and watching wrestling and Nascar. He was a huge Auburn fan as well.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Hill; sons, Danny Wesson (Sissy) and Michael Wesson all of Jacksons Gap, AL; grandchildren, Ryan Wesson (Amanda), Brandon Wesson, Lindsey Wesson, and Bailey Wesson; great-grandchild, Evelyn Kate Wesson; sisters, Mary Shotwell and Virginia Bolan; and brother, Joe Wesson.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Nell Wesson; parents; sisters, Faye Ruth Nelson and Geneva Wesson; and brothers, Pete Wesson, Buddy Wesson, and R.C. Wesson.
