Mrs. Bernice Williams Moody's Obituary
Funeral service for Mrs. Bernice Williams Moody, 86, of Jackson's Gap, will be Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Bethel Baptist Church. Rev. Larry Cummings and Rev. Carl Stokes will officiate. Mrs. Moody will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Moody passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013 at her residence. She was born on January 26, 1927 in Jackson's Gap, Alabama to Oscar Roby Williams and Mary Louise Ray Williams. She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church and loved her church greatly. Mrs. Moody loved her family very much and was very supportive of them, especially her husband, the late Rev. James Olney Moody.
She is survived by her daughters, Angie Moody and Sue Graben, both of Jackson's Gap; sons, Jim Moody (Judy) of Wetumpka, Tim Moody of Ashburn, VA and Mark Moody of Strawberry Plains, TN; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and sisters, Thelma McKee and Nell Boone, both of Jackson's Gap.
