Mrs. Bernice Genelle Winslett's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Bernice “Bernie” Genelle Winslett, 83, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Monday, March 4, 2019 at 3:00 pm at the Beulah Baptist Church. Rev. Tim Davis and Rev. Danny Rodgers will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Prospect Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm at Beulah Baptist Church.
Mrs. Winslett passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Dadeville Healthcare Center. She was born on August 10, 1935 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to George Washington Ray and Ruby Hartley Ray. Mrs. Winslett loved her family dearly. She enjoyed country music, Elvis, going to the Grand Ole Opry, plants, flowers, and crafts. Mrs. Winslett was also a longtime member of Beulah Baptist.
She is survived by her son, Kenny Winslett (Teresa); grandchildren, Dawn Ward (Shane), Ryan Pugh, Amy Pugh and Ashlee Dalton (Daniel); great-grandchildren, Brooke Ward and Taylor Ward; sister, Martha Ray Monroe; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Clyde Milford Winslett; parents; sisters, Chimeria McGhee, Eunice Clayton, Louise Carmichael, Odessa Smith, Hazel Ray and Mildred Ray and her brother, Baby Boy Ray.
