Ms. Bessie Eva Baker's Obituary
Graveside Service for Ms. Bessie Eva Baker, 90, of Dadeville, Alabama will be Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Dadeville City Cemetery. Randy Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Langley Funeral Home.
Ms. Baker passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Dadeville Healthcare Center. She was born on December 17, 1931 in Eagle Creek, Alabama to Clifton Jefferson Coker and Velma Patterson Coker. Ms. Baker loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She was retired from Russell Corp. after over 30 years of service and a member of Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church. Ms. Baker enjoyed the simple things in life and had a passion for taking care of others before herself. She loved her Auburn Tigers, taking care of her animals, and being in the outdoors. Ms. Baker was awarded “Miss Dadeville Health Care” and went to Birmingham to receive her recognition at the State Pageant.
She is survived by her son, David Baker (Anita); grandchildren, Drew Davis and Hope Davis; great-grandchildren, Colton Jackson Ard, Haylynn Leann Ard, and Freya Ard; sister, Floye Partridge; brothers, Clyde Coker and Marvin Coker (Brenda); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Harlan Baker; sister, Eloise Wright; and brothers, Rueben Coker and Robert Coker.
