Ms. Billie Inez Monroe's Obituary
Funeral Service for Ms. Billie Inez Monroe, 89, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 2:30 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Bro. Miles Crouch will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Ms. Monroe passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Dadeville Healthcare Center. She was born on November 14, 1932 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to John Welcher and Mary Brewer Welcher. Ms. Monroe loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was affectionally know as “Nanny” to them. She was a homemaker that enjoyed the simple things in life.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Harrelson (Tommy); son, Billy Monroe both of Dadeville, AL; grandchildren, Cody Harrelson (Cassie), Brooke Hall (Kyle), Ashley Smith (Shan), Deanna Monroe, Gracie Monroe, Chris Williams (Nicole), and Kristin Fuller (Adam); fifteen great-grandchildren; niece, Mary Jo Moncus; and great nieces, Sabrina Davis (Jeremy), Caroline Goggins (Jackie), and Tammy Daniel (David).
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Luther Monroe; parents; and sister, Nellie Monroe.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Dadeville Health Care and Ivy Creek Hospice.
