Mr. Billy Lee Tilton's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Billy Lee Tilton, 86, of Jacksons Gap, Alabama, will be Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Dan Morehead will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tallapoosa County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Tilton passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Lake Martin Community Hospital. He was born on October 3, 1935 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Webster Nathaniel Tilton and Ruth Ilean Wilson Tilton. Mr. Tilton was a hard worker and loved his family dearly. He was a Korean Conflict Navy Veteran, a 50-year member of both Alpha #659 Free & Accepted Masons in Kansas City, Missouri and Yaarab Shriners in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Tilton enjoyed traveling, Lake Martin, and tinkering with antique automobiles.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Edna Pait Tilton; daughters, Cathy Morehead (Dan) and Jackie Foster; son, Barry Tilton (Christy); grandchildren, Daniel Morehead (Charity), Michael Morehead (Stacey), Nathan Morehead (Priscilla), Sean Morehead, Meganne Morehead, Tyler Tilton, Mallory Tilton (Parker Brewer), and Danielle Cunningham (Darryl); and thirteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Tilton; parents; and brother, Jack Lake.
