Mr. Bobby J. Jones' Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Bobby J. Jones, 73, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Monday, October 3, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Lake Martin Baptist Church. Rev. Terry Herren and Rev. Jimmy Allen will officiate. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery near Kowaliga at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Jones passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at University of Alabama Hospital (Birmingham). He was born on March 13, 1943 in Alexander City, Alabama to Archie Jones and Emma Sallas Jones. He was an active member of Lake Martin Baptist Church and was a very hard worker. He had worked in the water department for the City of Dadeville, Water Superintendent for the Plainview Community Action, and retired as the Superintendent of the Water, Sewer, and Gas Department for the City of Camp Hill. Mr. Jones enjoyed antique cars and refinishing antique furniture.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jones of Dadeville; daughter, Neressa Taylor of Dadeville; grandchildren, Robin Allen (Trey), Anna Barron (Zack), Clay Taylor, Brian Jones, and Brady Jones; great-grandchildren, Will and Luke Allen and Houston Hornsby, sisters, Lora Hill (Gordon) of Lake Martin, Annette Fuller of Valley, AL, and Virginia Finley (John) of Lake Harding; and many special friends including Phillip and Patricia Folds.
He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Jones and his parents.
