Mr. Bobby Neal Sims' Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Bobby Neal Sims, 81, of Valley, Alabama, will be Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Russell DeLee will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fort Mitchell National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Sims passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026 at Bethany House. He was born on January 25, 1945 in Grady, Alabama to Comer Jackson Sims and Bernice Irene Stephens Sims. Mr. Sims was a simple man. He enjoyed riding the country roads of his hometown. He loved to have fun and make others laugh. He also loved his music and was an avid Alabama fan. Above all Mr. Sims proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his companion, Dorothy Worthy; son, Jeremy Sims; special friends, Tangie Williams, Stephanie McMeans, and Nona Strong.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Milton Comer Sims, Will Jim Sims, Bernice Rebecca Sims, and Diane Lou Kilpatrick.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the administration and staff of Lakewood Senior Living, Gary Freeman and Cory Norrell for the wonderful love, care and support that was given to Mr. Sims.
