1955 - 2018
Funeral Service for Mrs. Cathy Prescott, 62, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Monday, October 29, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the New Prospect United Methodist. Rev. Tim Davis, Rev. Butch Cousins, Rev. Nic Stockdale will officiate. She will lie in state at the Church for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the New Prospect Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Prescott passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018 at her residence. She was born on November 20, 1955 in Tallassee, Alabama to Cecil Johnson and Clara Nelson Johnson. She was an active member of New Prospect United Methodist and was an active member of the Central Alabama Emmaus Community. She spent her life working for the Lord. She loved her family dearly, especially her grand babies. Her favorite times were spent with her family at the lake cabin.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Tony Prescott of Dadeville; daughter, Kelli Thigpen (Mike) of Dadeville; son, Rusty Prescott (Ashley) of Auburn; grandchildren, Madison Kelley, Olivia Thigpen, Emily Thigpen, Lane Prescott, and Reese Prescott; brothers, Martin Johnson (Sheila) and Dwayne Johnson (Missy) both of Dadeville; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Cecil Johnson, Mother, Clara Johnson.
