Mr. Charles E. Barnes' Obituary
Memorial Service for Mr. Charles E. Barnes, 71, of Dadeville, will be Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Jeff Hardin will officiate.
Mr. Barnes passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at his residence. He was born on October 16, 1950, in Alexander City, Alabama to Joseph Allen Barnes and Gertrude Scarbrough Barnes. He was an active member of Camp Hill Baptist Church and tried to never missed a Sunday School class.
Charles retired from King Power Equipment after 15 years of service. During his employment there he built Store 34 in Dadeville and later ran the store for 6 years before fully retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his grandchildren play sports, and spent countless hours visiting with his friends and loved Auburn football.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Angela Freeman Barnes; daughters, Brooke Barnes Smith (Zachary), Fallon Nichole Barnes (Bill Wilson); grandsons, Hunter Lee Smith, Hudson Luke Smith; granddaughter, Madison Kathryn Pierce; grandson, Billy James Wilson III; brother, Richard Allen Barnes, and sister, Jeannean Barnes Meadors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe Wayne Barnes; sister, Linda Barnes Ingram and brother-in-law, Jerry Meadors.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Camp Hill Baptist Church, PO 307 Camp Hill AL, 36850
