If ever our family had a friend, it was Dr. Charles Farrow! He helped me, my brother Jim, and my son Scott get our college degree‘s! From giving us a plan for scheduling our classes to steering us in the right direction for our core, Charles had us covered on all fronts!! What a dynamic and influential man for all seasons!! There are so many in Tallappoosa County who owe him so much!! He cared about helping people get educated!!
He was a dear family friend to my parents, Jim and Jane Black! They enjoyed the Historical Society with him! He even spoke so eloquently at my dear Mother’s funeral!
We have all been so blessed by this great man ! What a legacy he has left!!

I had 3 teachers that influenced me in my life and Dr. Farrow was one them. It was very special to see how he appreciated any effort a student made in his music program at Russell Elementary . Solo Day on Friday was fun but also a valuable time in getting up in front of our peers and supporting each other. We were required to clap . He nourished lasting friendships by being a teacher and a friend.
