Graveside Service for Mrs. Christine P. Buivids, 76, of Jacksons Gap, Alabama will be Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Eagle Creek Cemetery. Bro. Terry Carter, Rev. Russell DeLee, and Daniel Bass will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Christine, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2023, in Birmingham, Alabama and was born in Alexander City, Alabama, on April 7, 1947 to Albert Roy Patterson and Dollie Howard Patterson. Christine lived her life embodying kindness, an adventurous spirit, and a faith-filled heart.
Christine dedicated her professional life to the banking industry as a computer manager. Her impressive career was marked by her tireless work ethic and her compassionate leadership style. A forward-thinker, Christine paved the way for many technological advancements in the sector, proving to be an invaluable asset to the industry.
When she wasn't dedicating herself to her work or attending Church, Christine could often be found tending her garden or taking care of her yard. She had a particular love for flowers, and her home was always adorned with the fruits of her labor. As a devoted fan of the Alabama football team, game days were always an occasion at her house, a testament to her fierce team spirit and unwavering support.
She is survived by her stepsons, Jason Buivids (Gaylon) and Gabriel Buivids (Laura); stepdaughters, Rebecca Cook (David) and Monica Nunnelley; grandchildren, Erika Buivids, Daniel Cook and Lauren Henderson; great-grandchildren, Bo Buivids and Holden Coggins; and several nieces and nephews.
Christine was predeceased by her husband, Victor Buivids, her parents, and her siblings, Bobbie, Jack, Donnie, Billie, and Fred Patterson. She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Linnie Mae Patterson, and her stepsisters, Gloria Jean Coker and Sue Moncrief.
Christine's radiant personality, combined with her kind heart and adventurous spirit, will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved her. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide everyone who knew her, as we remember her tenacity, strength, and faithfulness.
