Mr. Christopher Scott Nunn, known affectionately as Scott to his friends and family, passed away on February 21, 2026, in Coosa County, Alabama. Born on August 12, 1986, in Montgomery, Alabama, Scott's journey through life was marked by an unwavering kindness, a gentle spirit, and a sense of humor that brought lightness to the hearts of all who knew him. His departure from this world leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the sweetest of memories.
Scott's intellect was a beacon that shone brightly from a young age. His love for reading was profound, and he could often be found with a book in hand, lost in worlds crafted by words. His passion for literature was matched by his enthusiasm for movies and music, which he enjoyed with an almost contagious zeal. An avid Alabama fan, Scott's spirit soared with every victory, and his loyalty to his team was as steadfast as his devotion to his loved ones.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Scott experienced firsthand his dry sense of humor, which never failed to elicit smiles and laughter. His jokes and witty remarks were a testament to his ability to find joy in the everyday and to share that joy generously with others. Scott's humor was a gift that he gave freely, and it will be remembered as a cherished part of his enduring charm.
Above all, Scott was a portrait of love in action. His sweet and loving nature was evident in everything he did, especially in his role as a caregiver for his mother. He provided care with a tenderness and strength that only someone with a truly gentle soul could offer. Scott's selflessness was a beacon of hope and comfort, and his presence was a source of unwavering support during times of need.
Scott's personality was the epitome of loving, funny, and gentle. These words, while simple, capture the essence of a man whose life was a testament to the power of kindness. To have known Scott was to have known a person who embodied the best of what it means to be human. His ability to do anything for anyone, without a second thought, was a rare and beautiful quality that defined his character.
Scott is survived by his parents, Christopher Owen Nunn and Deborah Carol Carter Nunn; brother, Paul (Christy) Chayka III; nephews, Lance, Cole and Lane Chayka; best friends, Lonnie Kelly, and Phil Wright; uncle, Len (Beverly) Carter; and godmother, Angie Kennedy
