Mr. David Lewis Berry's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. David Lewis Berry, 65, of Camp Hill, Alabama, will be Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church Dadeville. Bro. Don Waldrep will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dadeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home. Mr. Berry will lie in state 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Berry passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Lake Martin Community Hospital. He was born on June 26, 1956 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Douglas E. Berry and Julia Henderson Berry. David loved his family dearly, especially his granddaughter. He was an active member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church. David was a servant to his community filling many roles over the years. He started out working with the Tallapoosa County Sheriffs Dept., worked with the District Attorneys Office, served the Town of Camp Hill Fire Dept. over 30 years, and worked with Lyman Ward Military Academy. David enjoyed sitting down with his friends and colleagues with a cup of coffee and sharing visions and stories, antiquing, vintage automobiles, traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains, listening to 50’s and Motown music, and taking care of his dogs.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carla Berry; daughter, Stephanie Chapman (Adam); granddaughter, Savannah Chapman; grandson on the way; and brother, Robert D. Berry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, William Berry.
