Mr. Donald R. Buchanan's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Donald R. Buchanan, 77, of Jackson's Gap, Alabama, will be Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Henderson will officiate. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Buchanan passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born on August 13, 1940 in Randolph County to John Leslie Buchanan and Lois Duke Buchanan. Mr. Buchanan was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church. He and his wife recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in June of this year. He was a very loving Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother, and Friend.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Buchanan of Jackson's Gap; sons, Donald Keith Buchanan (Pamela) of Orange Park, FL, Phillip Ray Buchanan of Jackson's Gap, and John C. Buchanan of Jackson's Gap; daughter, Connie B. Metts (Huey) of Jackson's Gap; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister, Doris Haynes of Lanett; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.
