Mrs. Donna Jean Potts' Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Donna Jean Potts, 74, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Friday, June 4, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Red Ridge United Methodist Church. Rev. Vicki Cater will officiate. Burial will follow in the Garden Hill Cemetery in Opelika at 4:00 pm. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 1:00 pm until service time at Red Ridge United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Potts passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at UAB after a short battle with cancer. She was born on March 10, 1947 to Ralph Cobb, Sr. and Bettie Gordon Cobb. She was an active member of Red Ridge United Methodist Church. Donna was a true servant and loved volunteering at the church, Dadeville Healthcare and The Veranda Assisted Living. Donna loved the lake, boating, playing scrabble, watching Wheel of Fortune and spending time with her grandsons.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Taylor Butts, Dane Westfall and Ford Westfall; brother, Ralph Cobb (Peggy), Jr. of Madison.
She was preceded in death this past September by Stanley, her lifelong friend and husband of 52 years; their daughter, Kristie Marie Westfall passed away in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Bettie Cobb; and brother, David Cobb.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Red Ridge United Methodist Church, 8091 Co. Rd. 34, Dadeville, AL 36853.
