Mr. Doyle Ray Coker Sr.'s Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Doyle Ray Coker, Sr., 75, of Dadeville, will be Monday, December 21, 2020 at 11:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Clinton Branch will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Wedowee at 1:30 pm. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Coker passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Lake Martin Community Hospital. He was born on February 18, 1945 in Langdale, Alabama to Wilford A. Coker and Maybell Monroe Coker. Mr. Coker was a Baptist by faith. He loved hunting, fishing and was a great shade tree mechanic. He also loved talking on the CB radio and his handle was, Rabbit Foot. Mr. Coker was a hard worker and worked in the cotton mill as a fixer for many years. He loved his family very much, especially his kids and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Peggy Ida Coker of Dadeville; sons, Winford Coker (Kathy) of Dadeville, Buster Coker (Brandy) of Jacksons Gap, Billy Ray Coker of Panama City, FL and Kenny Coker (Wanda) of Beulah; daughter, Kristy Pulsifer (Randy) of Opelika; seventeen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Paul Coker (Molly) of Valley, Jerry Coker of Cussetta and Cecil Coker (Diane) of Manchester, GA; sisters, Clara Jones of New Orleans, LA and Pam Daniel (Edward) of Valley; and brother-in-law, Ronald Williamson (Freida) of Birmingham.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Bruce Doyle Coker and Doyle Ray Coker, Jr., brothers, Benny Coker, Tom Coker, Tillburn Coker and Billy Joe Coker; and sister, Mary Ellen Coker.
