Ms. Gaynelle Tucker Gray's Obituary
Funeral Service for Ms. Gaynelle Tucker Gray, 91, of Eagle Creek, Alabama, will be Monday, March 7, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. Dennis Floyd and Bro. Johnny Pritchard will officiate. Burial will follow in the Eagle Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Ms. Gray passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Dadeville Healthcare Center. She was born on January 8, 1931 in Eagle Creek, Alabama to Hillyard Heflin Harris and Susie Bell Lashley Harris. Ms. Gray loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she loved to sing in the Choir. Ms. Gray was also well known for her famous “Fried Apple Pies”.
She is survived by her sons, Gene Tucker (Lanelle) of Opelika, AL and Ronald H. Tucker of Tallassee, AL; grandchildren, Allan Tucker (Brandy), Jason Petty (Sherry), Stormy Crouch, Tonya Tucker, Tommy Tucker (Brandi), Bill Tucker, Jimmy Tucker (Jamie), and Lynn Tucker Back (Josh); seventeen great-grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; sister, Ruby Strickland; and brother, Bobby Joe "Pete" Harris (Sue).
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Wilbur Tucker; second husband, James Earl Gray; son, Rickey Tucker, grandson, Dennis Gene Tucker; parents; and sisters, Ruth Moran, Dot Tucker, and Tiny Mann.
