Greg and I had many conversations while we both worked at the ESD on Gunter. Some of those conversations were work related, most were not. Greg and I got along well because of two things. The first is that he was just a great guy that was easy to talk to. The second was because we are both retired military. The friendship bond between military retirees is strong and Greg and I just clicked. In one of our conversations back in September, he was excited and was looking forward to his family trip to Disney World in Florida. I got the debrief when he came back to work and he was nothing but smiles. I always teased him about the ACD system going down. When ACD acted up, the first question I asked the crew chiefs was, “Did you call Greg?” It seemed like after every time Greg came over to “fix” ACD, as soon as he would leave the Ops Floor, ACD would stop working or start glitching. Gotta love technology!
Greg was a smart, IT professional that could take jokes just as well as he could dish them out. You will be sorely missed my friend. Until we meet again…
