Mr Harold Wayne Hendricks' Obituary
Harold Wayne Hendricks, 87, of Dadeville, Alabama passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024.
Harold was born on 2/18/1937 to J.D. & Lucille Hendricks in Greenville, AL. He was the second born out of four kids. He was the first to graduate high school in his family, graduating from Lanier High School, in 1955. Following High School, he attended Auburn University, pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering. He spent his career working across the U.S. as a general contractor. For a short time he served in the Air National Guard, where he attended Pilot school and earned the rank as a lieutenant.
While he had a successful career, his most important job was as a loving husband and father. In 1958, he met the love of his life Virginia Wing. The two were married in August of 1960 and remained together for the next 48 years until her death. Together they lovingly raised 3 boys. I have no doubt that she was the first person he saw when he opened his eyes in heaven.
Harold’s memory will be kept alive by his sister, Glenda Householder, his children, Mark, Kevin and Greg, 4 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering Sunday October 20th from 1pm-3pm at Faith Assembly of God, located at 590 Horseshoe Bend Rd, Dadeville, AL.
