Harvey Eugene Ingram's Obituary
Funeral service for Mr. Harvey Eugene Ingram, 65, of Jackson’s Gap, will be Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Jackson's Gap Baptist Church. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Rev. Charlie Horton and Rev. Donald DeLee will officiate. Burial will follow in the Jackson's Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Ingram passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Bethany House. He was born on October 12, 1948 in Jackson's Gap, Alabama to Harvey D. Ingram and Virginia Nell Yarbrough Ingram. He was an active member of Jackson's Gap Baptist Church. Mr. Ingram was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. He enjoyed NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon, watching Alabama and the Dadeville Tigers play football, and playing softball with the Jackson’s Gap Team. Mr. Ingram was a good man and a Godly man who loved his church where he held many offices including Sunday School and Discipleship Training Teacher, RA Leader, and was involved with VBS. Mr. Ingram will always be remembered as a wonderful dad, husband, granddad, father-in-law, and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Hazel Bishop Ingram of Jackson’s Gap; daughters, Ann Arrington (Ray) of Jackson’s Gap and Valarie Fourtenbary (Scotty) of Dadeville; son, Benjie Ingram (Rachel) of Jackson’s Gap; grandchildren, Matthew Arrington, Peyton Fourtenbary, Lauren Arrington, and Gunner Fourtenbary; brother, Thomas Wayne Ingram of Jackson's Gap; and uncle, Vander Ingram of Tallassee.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
