Funeral Service for Mr. Heyward Clanton, 83, of Dadeville, will be Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Clyde Coker and Bro. Miles Crouch will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery - Buttston. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Clanton passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born on February 23, 1933 in Buttston, Alabama to Dewey Winford (Buster) Clanton and Annie L. Clanton. He loved country music and was a musician. He was a big jokester and enjoyed being with family and friends. Mr. Clanton enjoyed old cars, antiques, and growing flowers. He was a great animal lover.
He is survived by his wife, Amie Marie Clanton of Dadeville; sons, Tommy Glenn Clanton of Jacksons Gap and Jason L. Clanton (Angie) of Alexander City; daughters, Charlotte Ann Gould (Jay) of Jacksons Gap and Tina C. Pitts (Barry) of Dadeville; grandchildren, Timothy Glenn Clanton (Megan), Brett Lynn Clanton, Alison Brooke Clanton, Eddie Baker, Blake Gilliland, Heather Clanton, Ashley Clanton; and great-grandchild, Braxton Joseph Clanton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
