Mrs. Farrow passed away peacefully at her home on December 29, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on July 29, 1930, in Waverly, to Jesse Robinson, IV and Lucy Askew Robinson, Inez's life was a testament to her unwavering dedication to her family, her faith, and her community.
Inez's professional life was deeply intertwined with her personal life as she served with distinction as the Secretary for the Tallapoosa County Sheriff's Department. For over two decades, she worked alongside her husband, Sheriff Farrow, demonstrating her commitment to public service and the safety of her community. Her work ethic and support were integral to the department's success and left a lasting impact on all who worked with her.
A lifelong member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Inez dedicated over 65 years to the organization, holding various offices and contributing to its mission of promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Her love for music was evident through her role as the pianist at Waverly Methodist Church, where she played for more than 20 years, uplifting the congregation with her talent and devotion.
Inez's leadership extended to the younger generation as she guided and inspired many through her involvement with the Girl Scouts and as a band parent at Dadeville High School. Her commitment to the welfare of children was further demonstrated through her service on the DHR Advisory Board, where she advocated for the needs and rights of the most vulnerable.
An accomplished musician, Inez found joy in the arts and was known for her beautiful needlework and her passion for gardening. Her garden was a haven for the many birds she adored watching, and her travels allowed her to experience the beauty of the world beyond Waverly. Inez's love for her family was paramount, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and, in recent years, her great-grandchildren.
As an active member of the Waverly Methodist Church and the wider Waverly community, Inez's influence was far-reaching. Her kindness, wisdom, and generosity of spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Mrs. Inez Farrow's legacy will continue to inspire and resonate within the community she so lovingly served. Her life was a beautiful melody that played to the rhythm of kindness, service, and love-a melody that will echo in the hearts of those she touched forever.
She is survived by her daughters, Lucy Inez (Dale Lee) Farrow of Waverly, Martha Farrow (Mac) McCain of Marrietta, GA, and Mary Jim Farrow (William) Mowery of Waverly; grandchildren, William Matthew (Rachel) Mowery, Amanda Mowery (Chris) Hallmark, Ryan Nicholas (Anna) McCain, and Kathryn Lee (Wes) Wettlaufer; great-grandchildren, McKenna Mowery, Hanna Mowery, Brenna Mowery, Jaxson Simmons, Charlie Hallmark, Savannah Hallmark, Caleb Barrera, and Elizabeth Wettlaufer; and niece, Carey Robinson Gutjahr.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jesse Robinson, V.
