Mr. Jack Dowdell Patten's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Jack Dowdell Patten, 94, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Lake Martin Baptist Church in Dadeville, AL. Rev. Terry Herron and Rev. Roger Kendrick will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lake Martin Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 25, 2017, from 12:00 to 1:30 pm at Lake Martin Baptist Church.
Mr. Patten passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Bethany House. He was born on March 10, 1923 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Joseph Roy Patten and Irene Patten. He was an active member of Lake Martin Baptist Church and a former Lions Club Member. He loved fishing and golf and playing dominoes with his friends. He was involved in various voluntary activities at his church.
He is survived by his Daughter, Beth Starling of Arden, NC; Son, Jack D. (Kimberly) Patten, Jr. of Crestview, FL; Grandchildren, Summer Starling, Hunter Starling, Grayson Starling, Tony Nunez and Rosalyn Nunez; Brother, Bill (Jean) Patten; Sister-in-law, Christine Patten; First Cousin, Alma (Jack) Boggan, who was like a sister; Special friend, Felicia Walker; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and Brothers, Thomas Patten and Harold Patten.
