Mr. Jackie Waymon Payne's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Jackie Waymon Payne, 66, of Jacksons Gap, Alabama, will be Friday, January 7, 2022 at 12:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Bro. Terry Carter will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tallapoosa County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Payne passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Russell Medical. He was born on July 30, 1955 in Huntsville, Alabama to Joe Thomas Payne and Virginia Ann Meeks Payne. Mr. Payne was a Christian and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was an amazing mechanic and paint and body repairman. He enjoyed drag racing, working with his hands and being outside. He loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ruby Elizabeth “Libby” Payne of Jacksons Gap; sons, Curtis Jackie Payne of Dadeville and Billy Joe Payne of Jacksons Gap; daughter, Laura Elizabeth Payne of Jacksons Gap; grandchildren, Elijah Coker, Kaydence Payne, Alex Payne, Halle Payne and Jackson Lee Payne; and brothers, Joe Payne (Lisa) and Tom Payne, both of Huntsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
