Bro. James Harrell Driggers' Obituary
Funeral Service for Bro. James Harrell Driggers, 78, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Friday, June 18, 2021 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Dr. John Watkins and Dr. Albert Pike will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tallapoosa County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Bro. Driggers passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Russell Medical. He was born on May 15, 1943 in Lakeland, Florida to Walter Frank Driggers and Nancy Ocala Philmon Driggers. He was a member of Oak Chapel Baptist Church. Bro. James loved the Lord with all his heart and was a faithful follower of Christ. He was a preacher of the Gospel and loved to sing. He was also a proud U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and was very patriotic. He loved his family very much. He enjoyed boat riding, fishing, aggravating others, wood working, tinkering and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Debbie Bowen Driggers of Alexander City; son, James W. Driggers (Tina) of Dadeville; stepsons, Brian Voss (Ferris) of Alexander City and Phillip Voss (Stephanie) of Chelsea; grandchildren, Easton Voss, Mary Claxton Voss and Yates Voss; sister, Betty Barden of Ocala, FL; and his fur baby, Dolly Driggers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tommy Winningham; and his first wife of 40 years, Linda Driggers.
