Mr. James Leonard McDaniel's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. James Leonard McDaniel, 66, of Jacksons Gap, Alabama, will be Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Freddie Senn and Rev. Jimmy Sims will officiate. Burial will follow in the Old Union Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. McDaniel passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at his home. He was born on April 23, 1957 in Alexander City, Alabama to Leonard Jack McDaniel and Mary Nell Blake McDaniel. James loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren which he was affectionally known as “Paw”. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, raising animals, watching Auburn football, playing poker and antique trucks.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Richell Anne McDaniel; daughter, Amy McDaniel; sons, Allen McDaniel, Sam McDaniel and Bobby McDaniel (Dakota); grandchildren, Adam McDaniel, Josh Berry, Gibson McDaniel, Easton McDaniel, Maddox McDaniel and Amelia McDaniel; sisters, Barbara Sue Litsey, Margaret Ann Glasscock and Carolyn Faye Waldrep; and brothers, Jimmy Charles McDaniel and Tommy Carl McDaniel.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
