Jessie Rebecca Pless' Obituary
Graveside service for Mrs. Jessie Rebecca Pless, 99, of Dadeville, will be Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Tallapoosa County Memory Gardens. Rev. Gary Wiggins will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pless passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Lake Martin Community Hospital. She was born on August 7, 1914 in Chambers County, Alabama to Jesse James Hadaway and Mary Effie Barber Hadaway. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dadeville. Mrs. Pless enjoyed painting, sewing, singing, and telling historical stories. She was an excellent cook and made the best biscuits. Mrs. Pless loved her family dearly and will always be remembered for her sweet smile and loving hugs.
She is survived by her daughter, Patti Noles of Dadeville; grandchildren, Janet Bryant (Barry) of Opelika and Elaine Smith and Vicki Griffin (Wesley) all of Dadeville; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Bryant, Rachel Bryant, Davis Bryant, Amanda Smith, Ashley Smith, Daniel Smith, Melanie Griffin, and Jacob Griffin; great-great-grandchild, Savannah Smith; and sisters, Nedra Penney of West Point, GA and LaTayne Haynes of Odenville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clay Pless and her parents.
