Mr. Jimmy Dawson Collum's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Jimmy Dawson Collum, 73, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Andrew Collum will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Collum passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at his residence. He was born on August 3, 1949 in Dadeville, Alabama to Damon and Opal Mae Stewart Collum. Mr. Collum loved his family dearly and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ all of his life. Mr. Collum had a passion for playing the piano and singing with his boys. Mr. Collum also enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, and canning with his loving wife. He was Superintendent at StillWaters golf course for over 20 years and he retired from Wastewater Management after working at Cities of Dadeville, Opelika, Lafayette, and Ashland.
He is survived by his sons, Andrew M. Collum (Carrie) and Joshua A. Collum (Embirly) both of Dadeville, Alabama; grandchildren, Isaiah Fuller (Caroline), Alexis Mann (Garrett), Logan Collum (Lacey), Naomi Collum, and Isabella Collum; sister, Sara Kittrell; brothers, Roger Collum (Martha), Luvon Collum, and Eugene Collum.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Patricia Collum, and his parents.
