Mr. John Ted Clanton's Obituary
Mr. John “Ted” Clanton, 89, passed away on Thursday, May, 21, 2015. John was married to Pauline G. Clanton for 64 years, with whom he had two children, both deceased. Ted leaves behind his beloved wife, dear sister, many cousins, nephews and nieces, and numerous lifelong friends.
Ted served with the U.S. Army in the Philippines and Japan during World War II. Following his return from military service, he married his high school sweetheart and worked briefly at West Point Pepperell in Opelika before a distinguished career with the U.S. Postal Service.
Ted was widely respected and loved for his honesty, good humor, and faithfulness to his wife, family, community, and church. We have lost a good man and he will be missed.
A memorial service will be held at the Camp Hill Baptist Church on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 1:30 pm.
The family requests no flowers. Donations may be made to the Camp Hill Baptist Church Building Fund PO Box 543 Camp Hill, AL 36850.
