Mrs. Johnnie Hudson Parker's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Thomas Parker (known as Johnnie Hudson Parker), 86, of Dadeville, will be Monday, June 19, 2017 at 4:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. Gerald Hallmark will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tallapoosa County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Parker passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at her residence. She was born on July 13, 1930 in Clay County to John I. Hudson and Nonnie Schultz Hudson. She was a member of First Baptist Church Dadeville. Mrs. Johnnie always had a love for birds, enjoyed cross stitching, and made the best biscuits and cornbread. She and Mr. Thomas loved taking trips to the mountains and especially enjoyed visiting Cades Cove.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Michael Parker (Valarie) of Dadeville; daughter, Pamela Parker Ratcliff (Carl) of Hampton, VA; grandchildren, Jennifer Parker Holley (Matt), Corey Thomas Sarles, John M. Parker, Heather D. Vaughn (Dan) and Samantha Burks (Josh); and great-grandchildren, Hunter Vaughn and Isabella Burks
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, the love of her life, Thomas Parker.
