Johnny Charles Manley, known as J.C. by his friends and family, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at his home. He was born on March 18, 1981 in Columbus, Georgia. J.C. had a natural, down-to-earth personality with a smile that would light up the room. Whether it was sitting by the fire with friends or gathering around with family, he always seemed to be the life of the party because he was genuinely fun to be around. J.C. enjoyed listening to music, watching Nascar, and cheering for his Alabama football team. ROLL TIDE! When the weather was right, you could find him where most southern men find solace-hunting or fishing.
J.C. was a good, hardworking man who gave his all to any job or task that he took on. Giving up was not in his vocabulary, and his actions in life were proof to back it up. His kind heart was evident by his random acts of love such as always bringing a toy for Elizabeth each time that he came to visit. He loved his family more than anything, especially his sister, Angel, whom he thought the world of. That love was only matched by the love he had for his mama, and he was proud to be a mama's boy. J.C. left this life way too soon, and his infectious personality will be missed by all that knew him, but he will always be remembered for the light he brought to many peoples' lives.
J.C. is survived by his mother, Judy (Nickie) Williams; sister, Angel Shockley; nephews, Kyle Shockley, Kaleb Shockley; niece, Katilyn Shockley; wife, Monica Manley; stepchildren, Zack Mason, Austin Pressley, Tristan Pressley, Jade Pressley, Nathan Colley; grandchildren, Parker Pressley, Ava Pressley, Tucker McCoy; aunts, Susan Wade, Tammy Wentz, Karen (Dovard) Lockhart, Dorothy Williams, Beth Williams; uncles, Kenny Williams, Lynn Williams; cousins, Christy Wade Ivey, Bubba Wade, Debbie Davis, Shawn Davis, Brittany Lockhart, Amanda Lockhart; special cousin, J.P. Shano (whom he loved like a brother); and several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his stepchildren, Dylan Michael Speed, Autumn Shae Pressley; uncles, Dale Williams, Steve Williams, Bill Davis, Edward Wade; aunt, Linda Pinnkard; grandmother, "Meow," special friend of 5 years, Chrissy Colley; and his cat, Lucy Manley.
He is also survived by his father, Johnny Wayne Manley; aunts, Theressa Manley, Rita Manley, Michelle Manley; uncles, Bo Manley; Freddy Manley, and preceded by his aunt, Nancy Manley.
