Miriam Stone
My Uncle Wayne had many varied interests. He enjoyed driving small sporty convertibles throughout his life. Triumph Spitfires and Mazda Miatas were two of the car models that I remember his owning. Years ago he owned a cabin cruiser named the Gray Ghost that he had on Lake Martin. He enjoyed water skiing and slalom in his younger years.
Until the last few years he walked a few miles daily along the golf course at Still Waters. He enjoyed camping for several years and traded campers a few times.
He had beautiful penmanship - a script style handwriting. He liked to cook interesting and unusual recipes. For years, he researched and documented our family history and genealogy and I’m grateful to have copies of his work. He shared stories of family keepsakes and memorabilia. A few years ago he gave me a compass that my grandfather used in surveying. He had a hearty laugh - I will miss that laugh and him. RIP Unk! Love, Mim
