Mrs. Joyce Walker Waters' Obituary
Graveside Service for Mrs. Joyce Walker Waters, 90, of Auburn, Alabama will be Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Jacksons’ Gap Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Redmond will officiate.
Mrs. Waters passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Tallassee Health and Rehab. She was born on July 9, 1930 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Ishmael Worth Walker and Vinnie Ursha McGinty Walker. Mrs. Waters loved her family dearly. She had a passion for growing flowers, gardening, and was an excellent cook. Mrs. Waters also liked going camping and riding roller coasters. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church -Auburn.
She is survived by her son, Leslie Waters; grandchild, Kristi Waters Spraggins (Travis); great grandchildren, Branton, Kayln and Garrett Spraggins; sister, Margaret Lester; brothers, Raymond Walker and Harland Walker, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Waters; son, Joseph Edward Waters; daughter, Patricia Anne Water; parents; sister, Ailene Hammonds, and brothers, Handley Walker, Crayton Walker, Clyde Walker, and Harold Walker.
