Judy Harper Cooper's Obituary
A public visitation for Mrs. Judy Harper Cooper will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home for friends to visit with the family.
Judy passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at East Alabama Medical Center. She was born on August 16, 1953 in Valley, Alabama to Charles W. Harper and Vivian Messer Southern. Judy was a graduate from Beulah High School and worked for Diversified Products for 17 years. On Valentine's Day of 1991, she was married to William M. Cooper, Jr. and remained his loving partner for 32 wonderful years. Later, Judy shifted her attention to her home where she was devoted to her children and grandchildren who affectionately called her, "Grand-Mommy." In her spare time, she enjoyed activities outdoors such as fishing and gardening. Judy was a loving and kind soul who took care of the ones that she loved.
She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Cooper, Jr.; daughter, Heather Cooper; stepdaughter, Meredith (Gary) Mills; grandchildren, Nyjah Martin, Lilli Coleman, Emma Coleman; nephew, Michael (Amanda) Harper; and stepfather, Roger Southern.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles R. Harper.
