Funeral Service for Mrs. Judy Ann Haddox, 74, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Tallapoosa County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Judy Ann Haddox, known affectionately as Judy to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024, in Dadeville, Alabama. Born on January 18, 1950, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, Judy's gentle and loving nature touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a beacon of selflessness, her actions and care for others leaving an indelible mark on her community.
Judy's life was one of dedication and joy, which she found in the simplest of pleasures. She was a familiar face in the world of used car sales, where her honesty and warmth made her not just a dealer but a trusted friend to her customers. Her involvement in the industry was marked by her commitment to fairness and her ability to make any customer feel like family.
Beyond her work, Judy had a passion for the thrill of the hunt at thrift stores and yard sales, her keen eye for bargains only matched by her joy in the find. She was also incredibly skilled at working around her house, taking pride in remodeling and turning her space into a warm and inviting home. Her love for the vibrant blooms of tiger lilies and the shade of her red maple tree spoke volumes of her appreciation for nature's beauty.
Above all, Judy's heart belonged to her family. She was a pillar of strength and love for her children, Jimmy (Mary) Haddox, Thomas Stanley Haddox, and Ann (Bradley) Lidstone. Her ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them, instilling in them the values of kindness and generosity that she lived by.
Judy's siblings, Walter (Brenda) Hartley, Jeff (Traci) Hartley, William Hartley, and Elizabeth Payne, will remember her as the glue that held the family together, always there with a listening ear and a comforting hug. Her life was a testament to the power of love and the bonds of family.
She was reunited in death with her beloved husband, Curtis Stanley Haddox, and her siblings Wayne Hartley, Winford Hartley, Jimmy Lee Hartley, and Emma Crouch. Judy was also preceded in death by her father, Curtis Melvin Hartley, and her mother, Ruby Nell Harley, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms.
Judy's legacy is one of love, a life lived with a gentle touch and a generous spirit. Those who knew her will remember her selflessness, her loving nature, and the gentle strength that defined her. Judy Ann Haddox was a treasure to her family, a friend to many, and a cherished member of her community.
