Mr. Kenneth Duane Blue, Sr.'s Obituary
Memorial Service for Mr. Kenneth Duane Blue, Sr., 75, of Dadeville, will be Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 2:00 pm at New Covenant Church in Dadeville with Pastor Ronnie Jennings officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Blue passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born on April 23, 1941 in Warsaw, Indiana to Thomas Marshall Blue and Ethel Truelove Blue. He was a member of New Covenant Church. Mr. Blue was known as “The Watchman” while employed by the former WDVI, now known as the WELL. He proudly served his country in the 82nd Army Airborne in Korea and Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of DAV and a proud member of the NRA.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diane Grace Keller Blue of Dadeville; son, Kenneth Duane Blue, II of Wadley; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother, Basil Blue (Leta) of Jackson's Gap; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lori Ann Roman-Cruz Blue; brother, Carl Blue; and sister, Jan Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
