Levi Clayton Worthington, known fondly as Levi to all who cherished him, graced this world with his presence on April 13, 2016, in Guntersville, Alabama. With a heart larger than life itself, Levi's journey on this earth came to a peaceful close on July 3, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama. His nine years were lived with a vigor and joy that profoundly impacted everyone he met.
Levi's life was a testament to the love and nurturing of his parents, Elliott Shane Worthington and Amanda L. Worthington, His vibrant spirit will be carried on through his siblings: Dakota R. Worthington, Misty D. Snips, Faelynn R. Wilson, Gracin N. Worthington, Wyatt S. Worthington, Chloe P. Worthington, Tucker L. Worthington, and Samuel E. Worthington. His memory will also be cherished by his grandparents, Gary Williams, Barbara and Randy Conley, Eddie and Gail Worthington, and Debbie Joiner; and great-grandmother Dorothy Howell. Levi's extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Magan Coon, Tarra Worthington, Toni Carr, Brylee Mynear, Brooklyn Elder, and Hunter Coon, will miss his adventurous spirit and loving nature. He now joins his great-grandparents, Russell and Maggie Bullock, Jimmy Worthington, George and Ethel Williams, Willie Joe and Louise Baker, and Frank and Virginia Golden, who preceded him in death.
Levi's Christian faith was a cornerstone of his existence, and it shone brightly in every aspect of his life. He approached each day with a sense of adventure and a soul that was unyieldingly spirited. Levi was the embodiment of joy and had an innate ability to ignite happiness in others, even on their darkest days. His smile, a beacon of light, was a constant reminder of his loving nature.
A boy in every sense of the word, Levi reveled in the great outdoors. He found great pleasure in playing in the mud, his laughter echoing as he emerged covered in nature's paint. The thrill of fishing and hunting called to him, and he answered with enthusiasm, embracing every chance to explore and learn from the wilderness. His hands were often occupied with the day's catch of lizards and frogs, and his heart was happiest when he was near the water.
Levi's imagination was a wondrous thing to behold, crafting worlds and adventures that only a child's mind could conceive. He had an insatiable appetite for life, and this extended to his love of food—chicken wings from Buffalo Wild Wings being his ultimate favorite, along with the fiery kick of Takis chips. His taste buds were adventurous, much like his spirit, and he enjoyed the simple pleasure of a coffee sweetened with sugar or the tang of a V8 drink.
In his brief time with us, Levi touched countless hearts. He was a fighter, a true warrior of life, who faced challenges with an unbreakable smile. His ability to uplift others, regardless of his own circumstances, was a gift that he freely gave. Levi's love for the Lord was unwavering, and those who loved him take comfort in knowing he is now healed, worshipping at the feet of Jesus.
Levi Clayton Worthington will be remembered as a loving, adventurous, and spirited young soul who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy is one of courage, joy, and an unrelenting zest for life that will continue to inspire and guide us. As we bid farewell to Levi, we do so with the knowledge that his spirit lives on, not just in memory, but in the way he taught us to cherish every moment with love and laughter.
