Mrs. Marcell Coker Kellum Berry's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Marcell Coker Kellum Berry, 87, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00 am (C.S.T.) at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Curt Mize and Rev. Clyde Coker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Lanett. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am (C.S.T.) at Langley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Berry passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Lake Martin Community Hospital. She was born on November 7, 1929 in Tallapoosa County to Earnest Coker and Achie Harris Coker. She was an active member of First Baptist Church Dadeville and loved her Sunday School class very much. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and fishing. She worked as a textile worker for many years. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed her family reunions and her favorite place to eat was Chick-fil-A.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Maurice Berry of Dadeville; daughter, Marsha Smith (Tony) of Lanett; step-daughters, Judy Daniel (Gary) of Alexander City and Patty Hall (Jerry) of Dadeville; grandchildren, Casey Smith, Megan Payne (Trey) and Marlee Smith; step-grandchildren, Alan Daniel (Winter), Jimmy Daniel (Tiffany), Michael Daniel (Julie), Brad Daniel (Candace), Karen Stroup, Clay Claybrook (Alison), Wesley Claybrook (Lecia), Chris Hall and Jeremy Hall; eighteen step-great grandchildren, one step-great great granddaughter; sister, Olgie Potts of Somerset, KY; sister-in-laws, Wincie Ridley of Terrell, TX and Jean Taylor of Wadley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Charles C. Kellum; two brothers and four sisters.
