Mrs. Margaret Carolyn Jackson's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Margaret Carolyn Gresham Jackson, 86, of Dadeville, will be Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Freddie Senn, Rev. Bill Gresham and Dr. Ben Hayes will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dadeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 1:30 pm to 2:45 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jackson passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at East Alabama Medical Center. She was born on February 13, 1932 in Dadeville, Alabama to William H. Gresham and Sara Pearson Gresham. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Mrs. Margaret was an excellent cook. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and was a wonderful caregiver to several members of her family. She was very selfless and was always thinking of others. She always had a quick smile and was happiest when she was helping others or being with her family that she loved dearly.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Alexander (Mac) of Dadeville; son, Kyle Orr (Sheree) of Camp Hill; grandchildren, Matt Orr (Lisa), Mark Orr (Starr), Mac Alexander, Jr. (Kelly) and Seth Alexander (Brittany); twenty- one great grandchildren; brother, Rev. William H. "Bill" Gresham (Catherine) of Sylacauga; niece, Cathy Gresham; step-daughter, Louise Cole of Tucker, GA; step-son, Jimmy Jackson (Donna); step-grandchildren, Darby Simpson, Brad Jackson (Mandy), Chuck Cole (Margo) and Kelly Spratling; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Jackson; parents; sister, Sara Gresham; and brothers, Ralph Gresham, Edward Gresham and Frank Gresham.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be given to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 3610 Dudleyville Road, Dadeville, AL 36853.
