He was born on October 14, 1944, to the late Mark Andrew and Mae Smith Carleton, Sr. He was a member of Sardis Methodist Church. He is survived by son Frank (Terrie) Carleton of Prattville, AL; daughter Ashley (Ronald) Sorrells of Opelika, AL; sister Ava Neighbors of Dadeville, AL; sister Mary Holland of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren Mark Andrew Carleton,IV, Hunter Carleton, James Frank Carleton,II, Carly Marie Carleton, Collin Lee Carleton, Justin Johnson and Kylie Sorrells and great grandchild Sarah Elizabeth Carleton.
