Graveside Service for Mr. Marvin Eli Jackson, 85, of Camp Hill, Alabama, will be Friday, Mar. 27th at 2:00 pm. Pastor Scott Jordan will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, Mar. 27th from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Marvin Eli Jackson, known affectionately as Marvin to his friends and loved ones, departed this world on March 24, 2026, at his home in Camp Hill, Alabama. Born on May 29, 1940, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, to Olin Jackson and Icey Patterson Jackson, Marvin's life was characterized by his steadfast Christian faith, his generosity of spirit, and his gentle demeanor.
Marvin's journey began as the cherished son of Icey and Olin Jackson and grew into a life rich with love, work, and joy. He was blessed with a large and loving family, including his children, Amy Jackson of Camp Hill, AL, Kimberly Cullars-Gonzalez, and Michael Jackson. His legacy continued to grow through his beloved grandchildren Cody, Taylor, Jesse, Jedd (Hailey), Jinger, and his precious great-grandchildren Makyiah, Jazzlyin, Elijah, Javion, Jedidiah, Jordan, and Atticus.
Marvin was a devoted husband and is preceded in departure by his first wife, Edwina Barker Jackson and his previous wife, Becky Jean Jackson. He was also preceded in death by his adored daughter, Luna Kay Jackson Mayo,his grandson, Eli Snow Cullars, his mother, Icey Jackson, his father, Olin Jackson, his sister, Belle Jackson Greene, and his brother, Ben Patterson.
For 48 years, Marvin dedicated himself to a career in textiles, demonstrating a remarkable work ethic and integrity. His commitment to his profession was paralleled only by his involvement in his community, where he was known as a pillar of strength and kindness.
Marvin's Christian faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and interactions with all who knew him. He lived his beliefs through his everyday deeds and was a testament to the power of living a faith-filled life.
A man of the outdoors, Marvin found solace and pleasure in the natural world. He was happiest when he was watching the birds, observing the wildlife, hunting, fishing, camping, or tending to his garden. These activities not only brought him peace but also provided countless opportunities to spend quality time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he adored.
Marvin's love for his family was a beacon that shone brightly, illuminating the lives of those around him. His generous nature meant he was always ready to lend a hand or offer support to anyone in need. His gentle approach to life, combined with his unwavering faith, left an indelible mark on his community and everyone fortunate enough to have crossed his path.
Mr. Marvin Eli Jackson will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through the values he instilled in his family and the countless lives he touched with his kindness. His was a life well-lived, full of purpose, love, and a quiet strength that will continue to inspire for generations to come.
