Mrs. Mary B. Crouch's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Mary B. Crouch, 79, of Jacksons Gap, Alabama, will be Monday, November 17, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Charlie Horton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Jackson's Gap Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Crouch, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, at her home in Jacksons Gap, Alabama. Born on January 24, 1946, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, Mary's life was a testament to love, dedication, and service.
Mary's journey began as the daughter of her adopted parents, Joe and Alene Burge, who instilled in her the values of hard work and compassion. These values remained with her throughout her life, guiding her through her career and her relationships with others. She shared a beautiful and loving marriage with her late husband, Charlie B. Crouch, Jr., and together they raised a family that became the center of Mary's world. Though she experienced the loss of her husband, her son Kenneth Alan Crouch, her daughter Charlie Renee Crouch, and her son Charlie B. Crouch III, Mary's strength never wavered, and her love for her family remained steadfast.
Mary is survived by her devoted daughter, Mary Crouch (John) Nelson of Jacksons and her adoring grandchildren, Tracey (Jennifer) Bradford, Jr., Brandon (Kayla) Crouch, Cameron Crouch, Jessica (Ted) Morgan, Phoenix Angel (Chris) Birch, and Marie (Chris) Handley. Her legacy continues to shine through her great-grandchildren, Alexa Foshee, Chloie Crouch, Zoey Birch, Tracey Bradford, III, Connor Crouch, and Carson Birch. She also leaves behind her caring daughter-in-law, Misty Miles, who will miss her dearly.
For 35 years, Mary served as a folder and seamstress at Russell Corporation, where she was known for her meticulous work and unwavering commitment. Her colleagues remember her as a woman of integrity and warmth, whose presence brightened the workplace.
Mary's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was an active and beloved member of the Jacksons Gap Baptist Church, where her church family treasured her spirit and devotion. Mary's love for Jesus was profound and evident in her every action; she lived her faith with every breath and was ready to embrace her Savior with open arms.
Her interests reflected her love for life and the natural world. Mary found joy in tending to her yard and garden, delighting in the tranquility of the outdoors. She embraced the simplicity of life, cherishing early mornings and quiet evenings.
Those who knew Mary would describe her as loving, faith-filled, and kind. Her gentle demeanor and generous heart touched the lives of everyone she met. Mary's legacy of love and faith will continue to live on through the many lives she has influenced.
