Mrs. Mary Fatima Elkins' Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Mary Fatima Elkins, 66, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Union Methodist Church. Rev. Phillip Nelson and Rev. Keith Dobbe will officiate. She will lie instate at the Church for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Union Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Elkins passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at her residence. She was born on January 29, 1950 in Portugal to Frank Dias, Sr. and Alice Tavares Dias. She was a Catholic by faith. She was an active volunteer for Breast Cancer Awareness. Mrs. Elkins loved people and worked as a teller at the bank in Tallassee for 35 years. She enjoyed music, dancing, and making candy for friends and loved ones.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Elkins of Dadeville; son, Robbie Elkins (Amanda) of Opelika; grandson, Logan Elkins; sister, Rose Gardner of North Kingstown, RI; brothers, Frank Dias, Jr. (Sharon) and Joseph Dias (Bunny) both of Rhode Island; nephews, Bobby Holley, Troy Holley, Adam Dias, Zachary Gardner, Timmy Gardner, and Erik Gardner; niece, Andrea Gardner; sisters-in-law, Sheila (Mike) Holley and Sandra (Leon) Collum; and brother-in-law, Jack (Myrna) Elkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Alice Naill, and nephew, Tyrone Collum.
