Mrs. Mary Joyce Thweatt's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Mary Joyce Thweatt, 80, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Jamey Williams, Rev. Davey Bunn, and Rev. Will Baker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thweatt passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at her residence. She was born on October 1, 1942 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Henry Taylor and Mary Nell Davis Taylor. Mrs. Thweatt loved her family dearly which she was lovingly known as “Mamma”, “Nanny”, “Momma Joyce”, and “Aunt Joyce”. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She also loved cooking and sewing, but most of all spending time caring for her family.
She is survived by her, son, Chris Landrum of Jackson's Gap, Alabama; daughter, Ashley Thweatt of Douglasville, Georgia; grandchildren, Ty Landrum (Carrie), Kristian Landrum, Brandon Washington, Landon Washington, Misty Davis, and Hunter Kidwell; great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Marissa, and Kinsley; sister, Betty Sue Walls; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Charles Thweatt; daughter, Robbie Nell Kidwell; son, Ricky Pritchard; parents; and brothers, Leon Taylor, Joe Taylor, Guy Taylor, and Troy Taylor.
